DRILL DIRECTOR
The DRILL DIRECTOR is designed to simplify the drilling of holes in the arms and bows of Windsor chairs. While it is quite possible with practice to aim the drill, the problem is that while drilling, you cannot see what you are aiming at!
The DRILL DIRECTOR can be operated solo, or with a helper. It is quickly adjustable to different heights and can be used with any type of drill bit.

The Drill Director does not eliminate the need to concentrate during drilling and you must ensure that you are drilling towards the correct hole, but with a little care every hole should be accurately aligned, with the minimum of effort and fuss!
The Drill Director comes in four pieces: 1 metre capped aluminium post; bottom arm; central guide circle; and top arm. Assembly takes a couple of minutes: the bottom arm is slid onto the post and fixed in place by tightening a small bolt; then the guide circle and top arm are slid over the top of the post and moved to a suitable position – the Drill Director is ready for use!
