Contemporary chairs

The aim behind this design was to produce a set of chairs that are compact, modern and elegant. The seats are deeply sculpted, giving immediate comfort, and the unsupported tapered spindles provide a back which flexes slightly as the sitter moves. The arms are supported on arm-posts and short spindles, but are not attached to the back as in most chairs. This allows the back, and thus the chair to remain as light as possible.
